Getting started with Dynamics Portals
We've worked to create the most easy to use CRM Portal builder available.
So now you know more about Synx Dynamic Portals how do you actually create them?
Install
Once you've installed Synx, the Synx module will appear under 'Modules and Services' where you will be able to install the module into your Sitefinity CMS. Once you have successfully installed Synx there will be a new option in the administration menu labelled 'Synx'. From here you're all set to start creating your Dynamics CRM portal.
Page editor
The page editor makes creating your portal content is simple, anything you want to do on a page can be done by using widgets. Just drag and drop the desired widgets on to a page. In the toolbox you will find many built-in widgets, however you are not limited to using just these. If you have a specific requirement that none of the widgets meet then you can create your own custom and user widgets.
Widgets
Synx have also created 3 widgets specifically to display information and update data in Dynamics CRM. These 3 widgets are, Synx grid, Synx chart and Synx content block. These widgets display data from entities in different formats. Simply drag the widgets onto the page and click on the icon to configure the widget. You can read more about Synx Widgets in our Documentation.
Forms
Creating forms is just as effortless. Synx allows you to create forms in Sitefinity which when submitted cam populate data in Dynamics CRM. Creating these Dynamic forms has never been easier, its just the same process as creating a normal form in Sitefinity. Once you have created a form in the backend you just drag and drop the form widget on the page and edit them to customise the content without the need for any code or HTML.
Entities
Drag and configure the data field widget from the toolbox onto forms to create an input field that will populate a single attribute on an entity. When the form is then submitted an entity will be created in Dynamics CRM and it's attributes will be populated with the values that have been entered in the data field.
Revision history
Once you have created your Microsoft portals you can continuously edit and add to the page whenever you want without having to worry about making errors thanks to the revision history function. This allows you to view all the previous versions of a page. Every time you edit a page a version will be saved automatically by the system. You are able to view and delete previous versions of a page as well as revert back to a version.
Our Microsoft Dynamics Portals aren't just for one type of business.
Synx is diverse and works with business from all different sectors, have a look at just some of the sectors Synx works with.
